This cruise is the perfect way to explore iconic ports like Rome, Istanbul, and Santorini for the first time—or revisit them with a group of like-minded travelers who love adventure as much as you do. Our 11-night cruise departs from Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, Oct. 19, 2026, and includes incredible port stops as well as three relaxing days at sea. Here’s the itinerary (subject to change, as with all cruises):

The 14-night transatlantic cruise on the Celebrity Ascent will leave Rome Oct. 30, the same day we return from our Mediterranean voyage. It features multiple 25 hour days (and extra hours to sleep) as the ship sails westward toward our time zone. Here’s the itinerary:

• Day 1: Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy – Dive back into the Eternal City to catch the sights you missed, from hidden trattorias to ancient wonders still calling your name.
• Day 2: Cagliari (Sardinia), Italy – Uncover a Mediterranean treasure, where rugged coastlines meet pastel-hued streets steeped in Sardinian charm.
• Day 3: At Sea – Relax and recharge aboard the stunning Celebrity Ascent, soaking in luxury with friends old and new.
• Day 4: Malaga, Spain – Bask in the sun-drenched allure of the Costa del Sol, where Picasso’s legacy mingles with vibrant tapas bars.
• Day 5: At Sea – Let the sea breeze carry you toward adventure as you enjoy the ship’s world-class amenities.

Q: Is this a private charter cruise? A: No. It is an “everybody – all are welcome” cruise. We just reserved a block of rooms at discounted pricing for friends of Postcard Jar and anyone else who would like to join us.

Q: What if I’ve never cruised before?
A: That’s no problem at all. In fact, that’s what we’re here for. Specifically, we will keep you up to date with emails, a Facebook group, and even group Zoom calls before our cruise to help guide you and answer all of your questions and concerns. And if you still have questions, you can always just give us a call.

Q: Will there be Postcard Jar group events?
A: Yes, there will be events exclusive to our group. In the past, we’ve done events like a sail away party, martini tasting, cooking class, wine tasting, helipad sail away. In addition, those from our group who are in the same cabin categories may dine together, if desired.

Q: Are drinks included?
A: The Classic Drink Package is included in your cruise fare. It includes soft drinks, beers, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, frozen drinks, wines by the glass, specialty coffee, tea, and generic bottled water up to $10 per serving. If you’d like a drink that exceeds the $10 limit, you just pay the difference, or you can upgrade to the Premium Drink Package for an additional fee.

Q: Is Wifi included?
A: Yes. Basic Wifi (good for checking emails) is included in the price for each person. You may also upgrade to the Premium Wifi for an additional cost.

Q: Do I need a passport?
A: Yes. Every passenger needs a passport to board the ship. In addition, your passport must not expire before June, 2027.
