Helmut Zaderer has been fishing in salt water in the best places in the world for many years. Cuba, specifically Jardine de la Reina, is one of his favorites. There are few places like this anymore. Fishing takes place in a protected marine park without commercial fisheries. So, there are no boats, ships, and people, but untouched nature, lots of fish, and a few fly fishermen.

The main attraction is the tarpon, which Cubans call “Sabalo.”
