According to a recent report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, this summer was “favorable” for species in the Chesapeake Bay.

In the report, researchers said the bay experienced a “cooler-than-average summer” from June to August. The report used data from the past 20 years, and in addition to cooler temperatures, healthier oxygen levels were found in the bay’s water.
