Dear Boss, I have a 2022 Yamaha RMAX2. I waited nine months for it. The only thing that drives me crazy is when I have to close the driver’s door. I have to lift up on the latch to get it to close. If I don’t lift up on the door, it takes a slam to force the door upward to latch securely. I do not see any adjustment to the latch. I really don’t want to haul it back to the dealer and wait weeks to get it back. So, Boss, how would you adjust my door if it was yours?

I can commiserate on the long waits for service, son. It is not just with UTVs; it is automobiles, too. Actually, anything that requires technical skill to service. We lost a lot of good workers to COVID and its restrictions. Good technicians left their jobs never to return. You do not adjust the door latch at the latch. You have to remove the left front fender to access the adjustable door hinges. Loosen the hinges and raise the door up and tighten only one bolt. Check the door closing. Readjust as necessary. When you are finally satisfied, finish tightening the door hinges. Reinstall the front fender.
