UTV Skid Plates
For the most part, your OEM skid plates do a good job protecting its chassis from the occasional rock slide or log roll. However, most of them are not capable of protecting your machine from major impacts unless you have a specific “rock” or “extreme-terrain” model. We have put together a list of the top aftermarket skid plate manufacturers and the machines each of them have products for. It’s up to you to decide how much protection you need and how much you are willing to pay for it.

Seizmik sells a complete under-belly protection package for several Polaris UTVs. The kits come with full center skids, wrap-around rock sliders and installation hardware. Being based in Cairo, Georgia, East Coast shoppers might be able to save a little on shipping, since these skid plates are a heavy, 1/2-inch-thick UHMW.

SSS Off-Road is proud to offer a lifetime warranty, and their products are made in the USA. They use a UHMW plastic that they claim is the slickest and most abrasion-resistant available. At 3/8 inches thick, their product protects without adding unnecessary weight. According to SSS, their mitered lap joints create a flush, overlapping panel with a near-seamless finish.
