Originally announced at ICAST earlier this summer the new Revo SX-SS Low Profile Casting Reel(baitcaster) is available now. The new 5th generation of the Revo family of low profile reels has been redesigned from the ground up. Made to provide anglers with best-in-class precision, power, and performance, the new Revo SX-SS reel has been engineered to be the premier reel in the family when it comes to skipping, pitching, and flipping baits. To be that premier reel, the Revo-SX-SS features a lightweight shallow spool design along with an EXD Concept Design to maximize casting performance. The braking system of the reel is Abu Garcia‘s IVCB-6 system to give anglers ultimate control of the reel’s nearly limitless braking options.

The reel features an asymmetrical body design that is made from an X2-Cräftic™ alloy, this gives the reel an amazing balance in weight, strength, and ergonomics. The reel is blisteringly fast with an 8.1:1 gear ratio for ripping in baits and a Power Stack Carbon Matrix Drag that is capable of producing 22 lbs of force. Match all that to a 90 mm bowed aluminum handle and the reel has all the torque and power it needs to pull a bass out of the craziest structure. The Revo SX-SS Low Profile Casting Reel has an MSRP of $189.95 and comes in both left and right-handed models.
