SIG Sauer ZULU10 HDX & ZULU8 HDX Binoculars – A Focus on Clarity

   08.16.23

SIG Sauer has been on an absolute tear lately with unveiling new binoculars for us. First, we covered their Zulu Canyon HD models earlier in the week as well as their more premium offering of the Kilo Canyon rangefinding binocular. Now, they have an even more meticulously-produced set in the ZULU10 HDX and ZULU8 HDX models with prices pushing close to $2,000.

SIG Sauer Coverage on AllOutdoor:

As we alluded to, the prices on these new binoculars might shock you. At the outset, there are 3 models that SIG Sauer is producing through this new ZULU line and they are as follows: ZULU10 HDX 10x42mm (MSRP $1,359.99), ZULU10 HDX 12x50mm (MSRP $1,689.99), ZULU10 HDX 15x56mm (MSRP $1,858.99). All of the nitty-gritty specs for these can be read below as presented by SIG Sauer:

The counterpart to the extremely expensive ZULU10 series of binoculars are the slightly more affordable (yet still expensive) ZULU8 HDX binoculars. With these you get similar accessories, that same quality HDX coating, waterproof/fogproof, and SIG Sauer’s ability to mount these into a tripod. The rest of the essential specifications can be read below as presented by SIG Sauer:

As we head into fall, many of us know how valuable a good quality set of binoculars can be in our hunt. The main question you need to ask yourself when binos start to cost more than guns is: how will I use these in the field? Will you be glassing for mountain goats that are 1,000 yards away on a mountain side? Or, will you be watching whitetail deer in a field that are 200 yards away or less? Do you need tripod compatibility? When the cost of binoculars are near $2,000 you need to decide where to draw your line. All of the binos from SIG Sauer are worth it to the right person. Simply figure out your personal use and go from there. As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
