Remington Nitro-Steel Duplex – Dual Shot Sizes for Better Harvests

   10.11.23

An idea that ammunition manufacturers have been playing around with for several years now is putting two different shot sizes into one shotgun shell for more effective hits on game. Specifically, we have been seeing this with turkey shells. Two distinct payloads that deliver effective hits at varying distances for hunters. Now, Remington is applying that same type of methodology to waterfowl hunting with their newly-reborn Nitro-Steel Duplex shotgun ammunition.

Remington Ammunition Coverage on AllOutdoor

Right now, Remington has 4 ammunition offerings in the works with 2 actively available at the time of this writing. All of them are 12 Gauge and sport 2 uniquely-paired shot sizes for better patterns on waterfowl in the field. Remington elaborates more on these new offerings through their video and their provided specifications listed below:

Remington Duplex shells are loaded with two different sizes of steel shot for ultimate performance at all ranges. Blended, high velocity magnum steel payload gives dense patterns with the smaller shot size close up, while the larger shot hits hard close and maintains energy at longer ranges.

No matter how many ammunition offerings might be on the market for waterfowl hunting – or any specific use case – it is always fantastic to see that ammunition manufacturers like Remington are still continually innovating and providing us with even more options. As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below about Remington Ammunition. We always appreciate your feedback.
