Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Here we have one odd duck…pun intended. This is the Crescent Firearms Company Nitro Marvel. There was next to no information for any of the more specific single-shot shotguns of the Crescent Firearms Company. These shotguns (though unconfirmed) were probably made with duck and goose hunting in mind. Mush like the Marlin “Original Goose Gun” with its 30″ barrel this Crescent Firearms Company Nitro Marvel also has a long barrel. I’m sorry did I say long barrel? Yeah, it is 54 inches long. Could probably sooner touch a goose with the end of the barrel than swing the thing to shoot one down.
