Now continuing that legacy of detail and performance Northland is announcing the new Tungsten Crappie King Fly for the 2024 spring season. This is a new class of hair jig for them, still delivering a natural and flowing action that draws in fish and strikes with no need for live bait. The new Tungsten Crappie King fly now adds the benefits of tungsten to hair jigs. Letting anglers cast further and sink faster through the water column to reach the fish more easily.
Along with the faster sink rate the 30% denser than lead tungsten is harder so anglers can feel more telegraphed up the line and rod to them, it is also a more eco-friendly material. Besides just the high-performance tungsten heads, these new hair jigs feature Northland’s hand-tied feather and tinsel tails. These will be available in a wide range of colors that way anglers can always find the right color for whatever lake, river, or stream they are fishing. The hook on the hair jig has been designed to be an ultra-sharp, perfectly proportioned hook just for the delicate mouths of panfish.
