Pretty much everything with fins in the ocean will eat a shrimp. They are a go-to bait and pattern if fishing in brackish or saltwater. Now through extensive research of this pint-sized crustacean, Savage Gear has made the new Manic Shrimp V2. It is an ultra-realistic soft plastic shrimp that is coming out in two models. A Ready to Fish (RTF) model that comes in with three sinking sizes and two slow sink sizes, and a Weedless(WL) that comes in two slow sinking sizes.

This second iteration of the Manic Shrimp has undergone meticulous evolution to achieve that ultra-realistic movement and looks to entice even the most finicky of predators. Using 3D scans of actual shrimp, Savage Gear has made every aspect of this lure have a lifelike appearance and movements. From the ultra-realistic body contours which include detailed legs and whiskers. To a specially designed tail that gives the shrimp a true-to-life kicking action. In addition to the realistic design, and action, the Savage Gear team has perfected the sink rates for the shrimps.
“We learned that the buoyancy and thickness of the leader, as well as the salinity of the water, are all factors with a major impact on the sink rate of a lure,” says Adam Ott, Product Manager for Savage Gear. “It took meticulous testing and six iterations before we got the sink rate on the sinking and the slow sinking Manic Shrimp, respectively, right. We learned how important this factor is to trigger the bite from several species.”
