Home on the Range #063: Moultrie Mobile App – Moultrie Mobile Edge Pro
Adam Scepaniak 12.16.23
In last week’s edition of “Home on the Range,” we discussed the new Moultrie Mobile Edge Pro cellular trail camera. While many hunters and outdoorspeople look to take down their cellular trail cameras this time of year, I advocate for people to leave them up year-round because there is so much extra data and information you can gather by patterning wildlife throughout the colder winter months. This can vary from predator management (coyotes, foxes, etc) and other game animals you wish to harvest (pigs, whitetail deer, turkeys, etc). Since we live in the 21st century and an age of technology, most of us prefer to have cellular trail cameras as opposed to traditional ones that you need to continually go out in the field to check and retrieve photos for. So, this week we are going to specifically discuss the Moultrie Mobile App: how it works, how it can serve you, and some benefits you will want to consider. Let’s dive in and see what the Moultrie Mobile Edge Pro cellular trail camera and its accompanying app is all about!
“Home on the Range” Series Coverage on AllOutdoor

Welcome to our reoccurring series of “Home on the Range.” Here, we would like to share all of our experiences for those who may be homesteading, living off the land, hunting, farming, ranching, and truly investing in nature and the great outdoors. The ability to provide for yourself and your family can be tremendously rewarding and simultaneously difficult at times. So, in “Home on the Range” we want to share our different exploits so you can learn and hopefully we can receive your feedback along the way as well.
The Moultrie Mobile App isn’t simple an application you can have on your phone to view your trail camera photos (it obviously does that); rather, it gives you a host of features to boost your knowledge in the patterns, activities, and habits of the animals on your property. This can be things like weather forecasts, animal identification, unlimited storage, and even mapping other attributes of your property like treestands, food plots, and other key features. The full list of all of the elements of the Moultrie Mobile App can be read below as presented by Moultrie Mobile:

If you’re concerned about the cost of running cellular trail cameras – as far as a data or cellphone plan goes – it is a lot more affordable than you might believe. It can vary anywhere from $9.99 – $34.99 per month depending on whether you want photos, videos, or multiple cameras. Is that a lot of money? It depends on how you rationalize it… If it means you don’t have to spend a couple hours out of your busy schedule checking a trail camera, save on gas money, and you are getting instantaneous access to your photos/videos, then it’s worth it in my mind. Maybe skip a fancy coffee and a DoorDash delivery per month and it pays for itself.
Find the plan that’s right for you. No contracts, no hidden fees, no fine print.

One of the greatest conveniences of living in the day and age that we are is the access and low cost to technology. So, why not put all of that to work for us in the form of learning more about the areas that we hunt and call home. For all of those reasons, that is why I love Moultrie Mobile and their suite of products. In the coming weeks here on “Home on the Range,” I will share some photos and videos that I have collected as well as how it is going using this new cellular trail camera. As always, let us know all of your thoughts about Moultrie Mobile, cellular trail cameras, and the new Moultrie Mobile Edge Pro in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
